Precious creative time in the Pilbara

May 20, 2022 By Deb Fitzpatrick

As some of you know, I’m currently in the Pilbara enjoying a creative residency thanks to the generosity of the Minderoo Foundation Artist Fund. My time in the red north is coming to an end and I’m keen to post some memories before they become just that. This residency has offered so much goodness – space, time and incredible landscapes. These have been used for thinking, writing, reading, researching, walking, bird-spotting, quick dips in a river that apparently has no crocs up this far, and listening. The bush is so full of sounds! If only my photos could capture those. Thank you so much to all involved in having me up here.
