Reviews for Kelpie Chaos
Kelpie Chaos is the latest book from Deb Fitzpatrick. The wonderfully alliterative title hints that life will not be all smooth sailing when Eli’s family decide to adopt a boisterous kelpie puppy, aptly named Zoom, and this delightful, action-packed story shares the fun, as well as the challenges, inherent in sharing your life with a working dog from a breed hardwired to round up stock. Perfect for fans of the ABC’s Muster Dogs and all families debating whether to make the decision to adopt a puppy. It also features a hilarious warning to take special care of your socks!

This is an absolutely delightful story! […] Fitzpatrick has created a “beautiful picture” of dog ownership woven with love. For young dog lovers this will certainly appeal, and the addition of some drama in the storyline takes this dog-ownership story to another level of excitement and adventure. Even non-dog lovers will get a taste of the joy of loving and caring for a pet and the lengths to which owners will go to demonstrate their love. […] Highly recommended.

If you’re an animal lover, this is the book for you! Zoom is a chaotic whirlwind of a dog, making for plenty of laugh-out-loud moments that anyone can relate to – especially dog owners. A standout for us was how the family supported and cared for each other while searching for the missing Zoom. Losing a pet is never easy, so we appreciated the time the Fitzpatrick took to explore how we support each other when the unexpected happens. Author Deb Fitzpatrick has a kelpie of her own, so you can be sure a few of her own experiences made it into the story. Talk about authenticity!
